there is a little drone around 2500 on the 3" system. no way you are ever gunna get away from it. but there is no decel popping at all and actually goes very quite after 3k rpms. the 3" system is anything but raspy!! the tone is so deep, i start the car in the driveway and it actually rattles stuff in the house and garage. it truely does sound like a V-8 at idle.
we already weld in 2 extra 02 bungs on both systems.
Will the 2.5" system be constructed in the same manner as the 3" system you have a picture of on your webpage (mufflers, resonators, X pipe)? I assume it uses slip fit connections with clamps, is that correct? If so, how many connections are there (How many joints on each side)? Waiting to here more on your group buy on this system. Thanks.

yes we will be using slip fit joints again. it is the only way to keep the system totally adjustable to the end user for install. but we use band clamps that are 3" wide and are all polished stainless. they conform over the whole joint as you tighten them down and create a 3" long seal that is super strong. they do not crush the pipes together like a normal gillatine clamp, making removal easy.
yes the construction and layout will be basically identical to the 3" system. will be posting pics and sound clip when all finished.

Thanks for the info. I will hold off on my purchase until I see and hear your 2.5" system, and the gb price. Thanks again.

I guess I have sort of decided, in a way, it depends!!

I will get the SVRT 2.5" system if the group buy price goes to $1250, and I will get his solid motor mounts to offset the lack of flex sections.

If the price doesn't go to the 10+ needed, then it is again between the Injen and the HKS, the deciding factor right now is that I haven't heard a sound file on the new Injen. I have heard the HKS on a PE TT just like mine with test pipes, so the price on the Injen makes it a winner if it sounds as good or better than the HKS.

I might add that the HKS got the overwhelming number of votes, with "other" in a close second.

Thanks for all the suggestions and info from all of you.
