Default Which is louder???

A nismo exhaust with stock air filter or Nismo exhaust with a Pop Charger?

I am hearing debates both ways.

I personally would have thought that the Nismo would be louder with a Pop Charger than with the stock filter because it moves more air.

What's the deal?

Or maybe they think it's louder with the stock filter because they are use to the quiet stock intake?

Popcharger is more of an engine noise like he said. After 5k RPM, all you really hear is engine anyway.

You hear the Nismo exhaust up until 4k then you hear the pop charger whistle. By 5k to redline it sounds super sweet. Combine it with a spacer and tp's/HFC's, man then it sounds nuts.

I got nismo and just put on a jim wolf last weekend, the whistle IS one thing, but at higher RPMs the intake and the exhaust f***in growl, (in the cabin). I am very happy with the sound of the charger, whines and then GROWLS with the exhaust.

Usually an intake will show a minor change in exhaust tone. Alot of time it is not audible to our ears. I really need to get the pop charger. My mustang used to have a sweet wistle sound. Sounds sweet

Are you guys getting that wistle with the stock intake tube? If so that is sweet. Some vehicles get the wistle from air bouncing off the metal intake tubes. But in this case it sounds like the filter is making most the sound. I have to buy one.

Your theory is correct . If you move more air through the engine, the exhaust will be more noisy.
