I chose Kinetix HFC because they are not as flashy. If a cop decides to check out my undercarriage with a mirror the kinetix look stock, the RT's don't.
Since you're in CA I would suggest keeping this kind of thing in mind.

From what we have seen here in house the Random Technology cats have a raspiness to them - I would recommend our high flow cats that are made here in house.

they are nice, and do have the highest flow second to test pipes. that being said they are raspy with my hks exhaust, but thats becasue of their flow rate i think. ive had them for 20,000 miles with no problems.

I have the RT high flows with my Nismo catback and it can get pretty damn loud. Sounds good, not much of a rasp to them. Curious to see how they will sound once I get my turbo installed.

Stay away from these overpriced pieces of junk. Just do a search and see how many have had the inner honeycombs collapse on them. You are then left with a $600 pair of testpipes. Is it really worth the $600 they charge for these things to take the chance of them failing. Even Performance Nissan stopped selling these due to the high number of failures.

RT with the nismo cat back system sounds finuckg awesome. Only raspy in 1st gear, and only when you first take off. I love mine. Louder than I thought, but still nice.
Nice power gains with the two.

Exactly another reason not to buy these overpriced pieces of crap. A thread just started today:

Couldnt agree more. I dont know why I even try to offer my help anymore. If someone wants to have an eventual set of $600 test pipes then go ahead and purchase thiese things.

I love how people say you will have a set of $600 test pipes. I have had them for two years and NO PROBLEMS. There are alot of people that did not have problems. Sure there are alot of people that did have problems. All I know is that I always let the car warm up before stompin on the gas, and I LOVE mine.
