It's rediculously f-ing loud. With test pipes it's unbearable. But it sounds so damn sweet at WOT.

I have heard the tanabe medalion touring exhaust in person, it sounds unbelievably good and it is quiet. Very high quality and nice sized piping.

Tanabe stuff is top notch, you can't go wrong.

The super racing medalion is a nice exhaust, but be prepared...it could be a nuisance for street use.

Their theory is...either you have a street car and buy a quiet exhaust like the medalion touring, or you have a race car and you buy a loud *** exhaust like (most of their others).

If you can get away with the loud kind, go for it.

Here in southern california, that kind of attention equals hundreds of dollars worth of tickets a year, no thanks for me

Just go to their website and listen to the sound clips of the Concept G, turn the volume way up for how the Racing owuld sound!

I've been looking at the Medalion Touring for some time now, and more and more I'm inclinded to get it. It is so quiet and so damn clean looking. I believe there are some SM Racing clips lurking around on the forum. Sweet, aggressive but pretty darn loud.

Run down of Tanabe exhausts for 350Z

Ultra Medalion - loudest (single)
Super Racing Medalion - louder (dual muffler)
Super Hyper Medalion - under 95db, somewhat loud
Concept G - under 93db, very reasonable (dual muffler)
Medalion Touring - under 93db, quiet and mature

Also, any of these systems are pretty much useless if you don't get rid of the factory y-pipe.

I have the Tanabe Medallion Touring and since you are local I can let you hear mine. Feel free to send me a pm or AIM screen name kenttz.

I also had the super racing medallion and loved the sound but it was just abit too loud for me and wanted to get something quieter and not throw too much attention.

thanks guys, i think i wanna stay wayyyy under the radar and get the Medalion touring exhaust.. the cops here in irvine dont really have much to do other than do a bunch of traffic stops and give tickets away..

i found a clip of it on www.tanabe-usa.com in the exhaust clips section, but only for the G35s... it shouldnt sound too much different...

it definitely sounds more "mature and refined".

Kenny,

+1 Pictures of your car!

Since yours is the prototype, is there anything different?

I really love the way the touring looks and sounds, but i havent really seen any pictures of it installed on a Z. I just have pictures of the exhaust ( i even had it as my desktop for a little while since it looks sweet )

saving...saving...pennies at a time.

Perf Nissan Group Buy anyone?
