Question Kinetix Resonated Test Pipes

I just bought Kinetix Resonated Test Pipes and am going to get them installed this week in preparation for the Vortech S/C....

Do these pipes "gurgle" at all? I know RTP's are supposed to be quieter than regular TP's. I went with Kinetix because they are not supposed to throw CEL's and the quality is more than likely top notch...

Does anyone have personal exp with these and maybe even a sound clip?

Thanks!

They should sound nice. The test pipe brand has nothing to do with whether you will throw a SES light. You have a 2004, as do I, and when I installed the Labree pipes I threw the light. It depends on whether you have an early 2004 or a later one. Either way the fix is pretty easy. I wrote a thread on it, you should read it if you throw the light.

Cool, Thanks Blurr!

I will do a search for your fix... are you talking about doing the non fouler fix?

I read on this page that they do not throw a code... I hope they compliment the HKS exhaust and Vortech well

I got'em & my exhaust sounds killer along with everything else in my sig. Build quality seems to be okay as i have not had any probs since last Sept when they were installed. I'm pretty happy with them.

Where and how much did you guys pay for these. I just cant see myself paying as much for test pipes as I would for HF Cats.

Got mine for just a hair over 300... There is more power to be had w/ TP's over HFC's and the only HFC's I would consider getting are crawford which are 500

I wanted a slightly louder tone and since I am going FI w/ Vortech the RTP's seem like the way to go

why do test pipes cost sooo much?!?!!? it's just regular stainless steel tubing if you think about it.. i mean R&D shouldn't be that much compared to FI or suspension.

Some manufactures will stand behind their products. Say that the pipes crack in 6 months, the manufacture may replace at no cost. While other retail stores (eBay for example) you will be lucky to find the seller in 6 months.
