Default Crawford Install... help

I am getting my Crawford plenum in next week and am looking to do the install myself. I was wondering for anyone who might have done the same, is it a hard install? How much time should I expect to be installing it? and is there any common problems, or anything that I should be aware of before installing? Thanks.

It's very helpful to have a friend nearby to hold up the heavy plenum etc. while you disconnect and reconnect hoses.

As long as you have all the right tools you should be fine.

It might be helpful to have a long magnetic-tipped device in case you drop a bolt into the engine bay... it happened to me, it could happen to you.

I am surprised that after reading the Sport Z magazine plenum vs plenum spacer shoot-out that you would buy a upper plenum.

Eh..Maybe he didnt read it or believe it. I myself would go with the APS, and am going to once i buy an exhaust. Maybe SportZ should redo the plenum shootout, as well as the exhaust shootout.

This is what I found.

As tested on the four G35 and Zs:

Peak Tested HP/TQ

AAM = +10 /+9 ......................... $269
Crawford = +14 / +12 ............... $299
Kinetix = +12 / +10
Motordyne 5/16" = +13 / +11 ..... $235
Motordyne 1/2" = +14 / +12 ....... $265

Is this correct? Based on these numbers it looks like the Crawford is a good buy?

If you follow the instructions on the Crawford website, and take your time, it's an easy under one hour install.

The plenum is tried and true...a good choice.

I plan on going FI in the future and it seems as if the upper plenum is the right way to go, rather than a spacer for this. Thanks for the help though, if UPS comes through for me I should be able to get it done tomorrow night.

instead of starting a new thread... would anyone also know where to find instructions for the strut bar? Before I get flamed, let me explain... It comes in a bunch of pieces, but no directions. I want to know how to assemble the pieces, not how to install the bar.
