actually I just took off the muffler ( no ghetto pipe thing hanging down) I was surprised how good it sounded. I'll go take a quick camera phone video and let you hear it.
LOL that looks terrible with the elbow, I actually did almost the same thing before I bought my exhaust. I cut the pipe off right before the bend with the flange so the exhaust would come straight out right under the muffler, which I kept on for looks, u couldnt tell the exhaust was cut unless u looked under the car and it was perfectly loud.
Yeah its just that you never used to see things like this popping up on a daily basis a couple years ago. People were trying to do things to better their car, not lose power. Now its newbs sticking up for other newbs mods that make no sense. Even though it quite entertaining, it quite sad at the same time.
No, this wasn't a joke, just an experiment. I was planning on welding a flange to the elbow and adding a straight section of piping out to the edge of the bumper but I didn't want to waste any more time and money on it since I'll be getting a real exhaust soon. But anyway, you all would be surprised at how good it does sound though.
Congrats!! You just lost your low end and midrange. If you want to really drop some weight....just take out the motor, tranny, wheels and steering wheel. That'll save a bunch of weight!
If you can't afford basic go-fast parts for the Z.....sell it and buy a civic. Don't forget to catch F&F3 to find out which vinyl graphics to put on her next!!!
