greddy evo2 was my favorite (with resonated test pipes)...zivman had the coolest sounding car around

Funny you mention his name....I now have HIS old Greddy. Thing looked brand spanking new. Polished her up with NeverDull before installing. Looked like mirrors underneath the car. Think he's running APS exhaust now.

I love my EVO2's, I removed the resonators yesterday from my h-pipe and it sounds just like a E46 M3 with a aftermarket exhaust. I am truely in love!

do they still build them the same way? I thought I remember him saying that they changed something about the design.

i have video footage that needs to be edited. it was from a couple nights ago and that night it was raining so I didn't get anything crazy, but I always try to capture the different types of driving and conditions

once plumpzz edits it for me, ill post the stuff up here again

im telling you this sounds great...maybe some kind of cross between the nismo and rsr/ts/n1 systems, less the "not loud enough" and less the ugly cannisters and piping

Well, they have the EVO, EVO2, and now EVOTT. Not sure if that's what you mean. My EVO2 fit perfect. No hick-ups, rattles, etc.

i could be making this up

but what i mean is...is your EVO2 different from an EVO2 that someone has recently purchased? Did they make design changes to the X-pipe or anything?

I thought I remember aaron saying that.

Not to my knowledge. My X-pipe is of larger diameter when the two pipes meet at the collector. Don't know why they would change this design. The X pipe actually maintains backpressure and increases flow under acceleration. Its possible. After buying this one, I never researched it anymore. lol

I have the video but its 75 mb! lol

Who can host?

BTW I did remove the stock x pipe because its a POS when you have test pipes. The exhaust gases hit one another at a nasty angle and it makes a weird noise. So I installed a custom h-pipe and now it sounds exactly like a E46 M3 with exhaust.

I took the resonators off, and my friend recorded a short section of the revs.

97supratt: exhaust sounds pretty cool!

i should have some more, better quality clips up tonight

coming on sunday night (hopefully...if my friend is actually going to let me use his dyno):

dyno results
video clips of dyno

well, maybe i'll just wait until i decide if I'm going to build an exhaust for sure (after the dyno) before i post anything

Yes SBT, We pulled off the stock muffler while going to Cal Speedway yesterday on a customers car and it sounded awesome...I was really impressed with the way it sounded. All it needs now like you said is 2 custom made tips
