In case you haven't seen it already, some guy already removed the resonators from his borla...he posted a thread about it

I had my stock muffler off last weekend during my Fujitsubo install. I had to turn on the car to heat up the bolts underneath the car (to make them easier to remove) and at that point the stock muffler was removed. When I started it up and revved it a few times it actually did sound pretty good. But the Fujitsubo exhaust sounds even better : )

dropped my car off last night, should have it all done by the time im done with work today
yeah it sounds great and the custom piece goes on today
as far as the resonator, I didn't want to remove it because I liked the sound JUST the way it was with no muffler...removing the resonator might not make it sound better...it might give you some rasp
i don't know if you are concerned with power much, but I would definitely like to hear it if you decide to take it off
I should have pictures of the finished product today provided nothing is effed up when I pick the car up

Seems to me you could leave the stock muffler in place, and cut the connecting piece just after the resonator and turn it downwards, like an exhasut dump, using a new connecting piece between the two. That way you could return it to stock easly. It might hit the aero shiled though.
Considering. Now I might do that!
I just put the motor back in my car this weekend and had every last piece of my car at the garage with the exception of the muffler. Lol. I have to admit that when we finally started her up and drove it a bit it did sound good. Not annoying by anymeans. Just doesnt look good.

Exactly, cosmetic cosemetic issue. I think I'll cut mine and turn it down into a DUMP.

You can charge me next time.
The finished product:
I'll probably let the heat settle everything for a little first, then go back and adjust things with a torch if necessary. I'm pretty happy with how things went.
Let me know what you guys think
by the way...if I ever dyno the car, I'll let you guys know how it does
