Anyone make custom piping for intake?
I was thinking of ways to do some custom piping to force some cold air into the intake box (stock). I know I can easily do it by cutting a hole in the bumber, but I don't want to do that. I am curious if anyone has done something to this effect in the past. It seems pretty easy to force some outside air up into the inlet if I can just funnel some of the air from the grill area.
Please don't say, "get a [brand name] CAI" because that is not what I am asking in this thread.

Take a look at the scoop on the Version II NISMO bumper. It basically is a tray that goes from the bumper opening to the air intake. Nothing more, not even a tube. Make a prototype out of heavy aluminum foil, and then use fiberglass for the final. Then sell them in the classified inventor section.
