Just installed APS test pipes
First off, let me say that the installation was a bit more difficult than I anticipated. To get to some of the nuts, you have to come down from over the engine. Let's just say I had to go back to the store twice for extensions for my socket wrench. You will need about 3 feet.
I also borrowed an O2 sensor socket from my friend which helped tremendously removing the O2 sensors.
Other than that the installation was pretty straight forward. I have only cranked the car and round down the street a bit. I thought that it would be much louder than it is. I didn't notice any rasp, but it has a strange, almost exotic sound a lower RPMs and screams at WOT. I just got all the grease cleaned off of me, and now I'm out to cherck out the new sound and power. I'll post updates to the sound and see if I can get a sound clip to post.

Ok, after Ive had a little time to drive it, I can hear some rasp between 3-3.5K in 1st & 2nd gear when getting don on the gas, otherwise it's sounds good. The rasp sounds like a can or something....
Overall, I can definitely tell the difference in acceleration/horsepower, which is what I was after. You can definitely smell the difference, and there is some rasp... I'll report back again after I've had more time to get used to it.

Once it clears the 3.5K range, it screams with little or no rasp. I can feel the difference in acceleration, especially in the lower rpm range. Before the car would bog down somewhat before it hit the power band, but now it is more responsive.
Now I spend most of my time with my foot on the gas to hear the exhaust, but I find myself avoiding the raspy range when driving through town.
As for the smell: with the windows down, I can smell the exhaust when I come to a red light. It's not too bad, but noticeable.
It's a good bang for the buck at $200!

Only the K&N Typhoon CAI for sound/performance, for now anyway... I'm trying to decide whether to stay NA or go FI.
For handling & looks I have the Nismo kit, Rotora slotted rotors, Hawk pads, Axis wheels, Eagle GS D3s, and various other audio mods and overlays....
I posted some pics of my car here: https://my350z.com/forum/exterior-and-interior/205936-aerosync-bumper-and-nismo-skirts-pics-and-review.html
i hated my aps test pipes. The rasp was killing me and it was kinda embarrassing drivin it in town. I loved the flames that used to come out when i reved it close to redline. I would use the TP for track use only. Thats jus my opinion thas all. Enjoy ur setup!
