Default Strut bar that clears 5/16" spacer(?)

I came across this while looking to get a brake cooling system, which I never found btw, http://news.hspn.com/articles/503/1/...san-350Z-(Z33)

It claims to clear an additional 10mm, so that covers the 5/16" spacer. Does anyone own this Aerosync strut tower bar and can verify this?

I have seen numerous posts of rattling with the stock strut bar, unless one uses the spacers, but then there may be contact with the hood. I am looking for a cleaner and more permanent solution, hence the search for another strut bar. I know the APS and others move the strut bar forward, but this one 'looks' good.

I have a 5/16 spacer and the spacers for the stock strut bar came with it and it works perfectly. There is no rattling and no rub on the hood at all. Seems like a pretty damn good permanent solution to me.

I'm happy for you, thanks for your opinion. I don't like using spacers when it comes to suspension mods. I have also seen the appearance of the strut bar brackets with the spacers installed, and I am less than enthoused. I was looking for feedback on the Aerosync bar though.

The this shouldn't have been the title of your thread.

^^ ...right. Sorry for the confusion, but the first post pretty much clarifies what I am looking for. I guess I will restate here: If anyone has any experience with the Aerosync strut bar, please chime in.

I dont see how it can offer 10mm clearance more and not hit the hood...there is not 10mm to play with upwards on a Z, and from where the bends seem to be they are similarly placed to other flat bars. Would need more info to see how they achieve that clearance

I'd contact Gruppe-S since its their product...thet might know if it fits

Yeah, I thought the same thing, which why I posed the question. Could it be that it's just thinner than the OEM bar? Thanks for the suggestion, I will ask Gruppe-S for exact dimensions.

I'm sure it is thinner, being flat vs round, but I would imagine you are still going to have to use shims as are supplied with the spacers

+1

try putting on whatever strut bar u want after u install the plenum spacer. if the strut bar doesn't fit, then use the spacers that the plenum spacers come with to lift the strut bar and clear the plenum spacer.
