Default P.I.T exhaust+TP testpipes, Tp-Y pipe- impressions, thoughts.

quite possibly the cheapest set up you can put on a 350z

pros- nice audible rumble
nice idle sound
no loss of power, but no real major increase either(butt dyno)
dosent look as bad as i thought it would
never threw a CEL(yet)

CONS- Highway drone is deafening
takes 15 minutes of driving to notice decrease in rasp
maybe it was just mine, but theres a hole in the PIT somewhere and i cant find it , so it lets out this slurping noise when i let off the throttle...
B-pipe sits REAL LOW to the ground, i even had some guy behind me honking telling me my exhaust is falling, when it was fine,- just looks like that

over all verdict- find a used exhaust with a well known name for a little bit more
moral of the story- good things come to those who wait.

really? i never heard about slurp, i thought it was a hole somewhere in there, does this ever go away? is there some mechanism behind this?......like some backpressure issue?...
can there be any loss of power as a result of "slurp"?

...it looks like it's falling off but it isn't? It's like the Dr. saying the surgery was a success but the patient died anyway. Dude it's more than a name you're looking for. LMAO!!!

The slurping noise is just exhaust noise from the test pipes to a bigger Y pipe. I had it w/ my APS exhaust and have it now too. Its not an exhaust leak. It happens when i let the gas go in gear and it just sounds like a leak but its not.

I've been running my PIT for many months now. It is still performing great, looking good and sounding good. As with ALL aftermarket exhuasts I have driven, there is a mild amount of "boom" or drone at certain highway speeds, but nothing objectionable to me. (ever been in a 5.0 Mustang with Magnaflows!?!) If you have to do a long drive, you can stick in the dreaded/hated silencers and make the PIT quieter than stock.
