Motordyne 5/16 Spacer Question?
Just wanted to know if, anyone that has the 5/16 Motordyne spacer. Has encountered any dirty particles or oil stains in the engine bay. As around the plenum spacer I am getting some oil stains and dirty particles. Is this normal..? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Yes, I used a torque wrench for all the bolts. And used their specific torque specs that came with the spacer. I just noticed this when I removed the Plastic engine cover.
[QUOTE=jondimellow]You oiled your filter too much? and unevenly?[/QUOI
I have a Vortech Supercharger and the filter is very small. And it is not over oiled or oiled unevenly. So, I don't think that is the cause of it.

Check to make sure you didn't get a piece of the rubber that surrounds the oil cap stuck inbetween the spacer and the plenum. That would cause a leak which air and oil could escape from.

Its normal.
A synthetic oil based adhesive is used to stick the gasket to the plenum spacer. When the spacer is bolted down by the plenum, some of the adhesive can squeez out.
It won't do anything though. If it gets dirty, you can clean it off with gasoline, toluene or other similar solvent.
