Default 350Z Jim Wolf POP-Charger or K&N?

I'm interested in purchasing this item for my 350Z. It's the Jim Wolf POP-Charger, at around $140.00 http://www.courtesyparts.com/350z/index.html . This will by my first modification for this vehicle and I haven't worked with the internals of a car much. My question to you all is, how difficult is this mod, do I need to purchase any addition parts, and how much of a difference will it make to my engine as opposed to a K&N stock replacement filter? Thank you for your time.

there have been both gains and losses in HP w/ this mod. On the more positive side it makes your car sound a lot better. I don't know from experience on the install but from what I have read, it is not easy, but it can be a "do it yourself" see if you can find anything out here:

I know you have to be careful on getting it on right, if its not tight enough, it could cause stalling problems.
