Default What Do You Think of My Custom Intake Design?? *pics*

i took apart my entire stock intake system and since i already cut off the silence resagnator on the G-tube, and i'm thinking about 1) sealing up the lower resagnator, or 2) after cutting it off, extending a intake pipe down behind the lower grill. it would kind of be like this http://i24.ebayimg.com/04/i/04/c0/23/cb_1_b.JPG

or this is what i've designed. what do you guys think? does intake need some kind of "back pressure" like the exhaust? or is it just the more cold air you can get in there the better??

option 1)

red is the cutting line, and blue is the plastic peice i would be to cover up the opening.

option 2)

green is the tube and the black is the hole facing the lower grill.

you need some kind of solid modeling software for the love of god. Could be interesting though.

I wouldn't bother with all the work unless you really have a love for doing custom stuff.
