Default Rumor on Cusco intake

I remember seeing a thread over at 350z tech concerning a new a plenum cusco is testing. It will be dual intake and have a price near 1k. Does anyone know any additional information? I always love new product!

Now the question is do you mean dual "intake" or dual "manifold". There is a big difference. A dual intake would cost a ton because that means a twin throttle body which is what CUxtopher is thinking of. You would have manifold cost plus extra throttle body cost plus the cost of the processor to control the two throttle bodies and a reflash at the least in order to control the A/F correctly. More along the line of $2k then.

If you mean twin manifold that is completely different. I remember that the orignal kinetix SSV was designed as a twin manifold or "air box" design if you will and they said that they did not have much gains so they changed to the single manifold design.

And the gains were not the real issue with the crawford design. The cost of controlling everything properly and most importantly safetly was the main reason they dropped the project. It just was not cost effecient for the gains and required a bunch of work and tuning I am sure which can lead to even greater costs.

Don't mind me, I am just playing a game of telephone and hoping somewhere along the line I get connected to cusco. I remember the Crawford one though... so big it didn't fit under the hood... at all

Cusco has no plans for an intake

there is a car in Japan (Utlimate is the shop's name) running a dual TB setup - it works amazingly well and is one of the highest dyno'ing cars in Japan right now. All running on a stock ecu, with larger injectors

I'd like to see this, do they have a website of some sort?

Hmm, maybe Crawford needs to give it another go, then. iirc, they just tested the dual throttle body set-up, but didn't swap to larger injectors; if that's the key...
