Fujitsubo Legalis R here. That exhaust is very quiet, can't even hear the car idle. Once you go WOT at or above 4k RPM is has a great sound. My buddy who drives a Mustang (lol!) said "its the best sounding V6 I've ever heard". I haven't had the Nismo installed on my Z, but I have been behind a Z with it and it seems to be louder than the Fujit, but still sounds great. Neither one of those will have cop turn his head unless you are above 4k/WOT, which for everyday driving isn't bad. And even WOT its not that loud. Keep in mind though the Fujit is one of the most expensive you can buy for the Z.

Have you looked into the Fast Intentions exhaust? It sounds alot deeper than stock, but doesn't change the stock exhaust note. At idle it sounds like stock. There is absolutely not drone, especially during cruising. Several people that have riden in my car didn't even know I had an exhaust installed. From the outside, the exhaust looks very stockish also.

Search Fast Intentions on the net. They have sound clips and pics of the exhaust on their site.

If you like to remain stealthy, get this exhaust. The tips are about the same size as stock ones...personally for me they are kinda small. There are alot of good reviews about this exhaust on the G forum. As far as I know, there are only two of these exhausts on Zs, but many Gs have them.

Default go with titanium exhaust..

perhaps the top 2 exhaust out there for 350z is the fujitsubo titatium or the amuse r1... rare exhaust with exotic sounds... and very lightweight... should gain adequate amount of HP and torq... can't go wrong with either of these... but gotta have the bills to pay for it... very expensive...

Even if you have the money, the wait will kill you.

+1....I was telling someone else, in another thread that I started, that I lucked out on the Fujitsubo exhaust. Injected Performance advertise one, sitting on his shelf, a year ago.... I happened to come across that thread and called them up. They still had it in stock. Talk about luck.

tanabe medalion touring...

advertized under 93dB which is the legal limit in some states for exhaust noise.

They have a new type of muffler material which makes it quieter than most...
+1. that thing is sexy.

They have a new line of exhausts that is specifically supposed to be quiet, under 93dB so the noise is legal in most if not all states.

You're right though, their other exhausts are very loud...
