Never seen or heard the Fujitsubo, but I can vouch for the JIC. It is well built, excellent fitment on my 25th, and mates perfectly with AAM HFCs and the R1000. The inlet and outlet of the Y-pipe match the respective diameter of the device on each end.

Fujitsubo is very similar in design to the JIC - slightly thicker gauge stainless
Both are 2.3 inch tubes with 3 inch collectors

JIC

Fujitsubo

Fujitsubo is a "higher end" brand, and as such, has a premium price associated with it

seems like jic>fujitsubo due to the straighter pipes.

less bends = greater flow = more power :scratchhead:

I have the jic, nice piece, fit well and was a breeze to install.

they work exactly the same - the difference in how they are made has no effect on the actual performance they net

If straight is your thing, Ultimate Racing has you covered. I currently have these on my car

The Fujitsubo and NISMO y pipes are identical. The JIC and Tanabe y pipes will give you a slightly better flow due to less bends. I recently switched from a NISMO to a JIC on my NISMO exhaust and felt a slight improvement.

JIC Y Pipe
Tanabe Y Pipe
Fujitsubo Y Pipe

FWIW, the JIC is listed on the 350ztech forum with an 80mm diameter and most others show 76mm. I'm wondering if I.D. figures are getting mixed with O.D.? Z-1 stated they were the same. Can you confirm?

I thought the JIC was bigger and matched up with the JIC exhaust whish is also listed as 80mm. Any clarification would be helpful.

I have yet to a see a non-company dyno of a y-pipe. Anyone have a plot? I hear about lots of butt dyno, but I don't see the real data. The guys at G35driver say their y-pipes caused a loss of power below 5000rpms.

Yeah, but they're a company. I want to see a 3rd party dyno. Stillen makes wild claims on all their products, inflating gains by usually 50-60%. It's common practice.

I would doubt you'll find much about this info - exhaust mods are cumulative on these cars, there is no magic single part. As such, people tend to do the exhaust mods as a whole, then dyno and tune

Really like how this looks. No bends at all. What the diameter of these. I want to switch my Nismo y-pipe out for either a JIC one or maybe the Ultimate Racing one. Too mant problems associated with Nismo y-pipe and Crawford cats.

yup i was afraid of those bolt on mods that will lower your hp/trq than help it... but exhaust bolt-ons may lower your power in da low end and gives you more toward da higher rpm.. good for racing but not really daily driving especially during rush hr in the big cities... "it shoudn't bother though..'
