Default mrev2 with 5/16 spacer on 2006 model

hey guys, i'm just wondering if this 2 setup will gain hp/torque? i've research lots of times and other members said that it gain power on mid range, but losses on top end..is this true? What would be a good setup for the 2006 revup motors? also will it throw in CEL lights? just want to make sure before messing around with the motor..thanks..i only have a popcharger by the way..

Other members are going to tell you to search.

When used together on a revup, the MREV2 and 5/16 spacer will give great mid range hp and tq and without sacrificing any top end. Dynos have been showing that you might even gain a few hp on the top end as well.

These parts are a bolt-on affair and motordyne claims that a tune is not needed and no CELs will be thrown. However, a tune will certainly bring out even more power and reliability.

^Yea, you're right, but for rev-ups (I have read) that you don't need a tune-as oppossed to Non-Revups- but tuning will probably bring out the true potential of your engine.

Good point. I should have been more clear. The installation of these parts does not require a tune on the revup but does on a non-revup.

There's been tons of posts about the best NA mods, this is what I think are worth it, from best to worst:

Tune (after everything is bolted on)
Mrev2 + 5/16 spacer (iso thermal)
Test pipes
Exhaust
Air Filter
Headers

I have read that headers aren't worth the trouble and money because of minimal gains and it's a bi!tch to take out stock and install. My plans for my Na mods are pretty much what I just listed with the Mrev2 + spacer next, and resonated TP's after that, and finally a Utec for tuning. I'll probably skip the headers though, but that's up to you.

Headers will definitely get you power. However, if your eventually going FI, its not worth the money to have them installed.

By tune, a reflash could work right, or are you guys meaning a tune like utec or something like that?
