just got my exhaust done!
i just got my exhaust done the other day from this guy who does custom exhausts, and he did a good job. I got a true duel exhaust done, with 2.5 inch piping. He only charged me 300 dollers to do everything! beats paying so much for most exhausts for our cars. I wanted to do an exhaust with 2 mufflers like the apexi ones as tips, but he said he couldnt do the mufflers because of a box on the rear bumper that got in the way, but what he did do was pretty cool, he cut the exhaust off from the cats, eliminated the Y pipe and ran the pipes. he cut the tips off the mufflers i baught and put them where the stock resonator was, so i would still get the sound of the mufflers and he used the stock tips. so it looks stock and sounds like a beast. only way you can tell that its not stock is he put the tips out a little bit more, like an inch so its even with the bumper, and youll see that the stock mufflers not there. it is very loud, but I like it. ill post an audio clip and pics when i get the chance. its an 03 touring Z by the way.

If you're ballin on a budget, you did good man! The reason he couldn't do two muffler is b/c the EVAP cannister is in the way. My Greddy EVO2 came with a relocation mount. Gotta love the FULL STAINLESS BABY!!!
hey guys, im aweful sorry aboutt he wait, im going to take pics today, ive just been so busy lately, and going through problems with the girlfriend, and i also work 3rd shift so i sleep a lot during the day, but im going to try and post pics and a small clip by tomorrow night
Got mine done for $350 - true dual, two mufflers. I had a bit of rasp with the two separate resonators, so I bought the Magnaflow resonated X-pipe (search it), took it back to the shop a week later, had them cut off the resonators and install the Mag, and I'm in No Rasp heaven! Overall sound is quiet, but it really woke up my other mods - intake, 5/16, headers, hfcs. I will probably switch mufflers though. I was kind of in a crunch to get a true dual, and the only mufflers I could find that I was comfortable using were just a bit too big for them to be installed symmetrically. Visually it's kind of annoying to me, but oh well. When all is said and done, I'll still have paid about half of what a premanufactured true dual costs.
Plus I may want a little more sound amplitude down the road.
