Default 5/16, Mrev or both?

hello guys, i am from spain, sorry for my english.

i have some questions, after use the "search" button about motordyne spacer 5/16 and MREV2.

I dont know what is the best option for no-revup engine:the plenum 5/16, the MREV2 or the both.

I searched about this but its not clear for me.

Thank you very much,

My car have HKS exhaust, crawford , heads dc-sport, and injen intake.

Non-revup - spacer alone.

Rev-up- Spacer + Mrev2

You're welcome

Actually from what I've read:

Revup-MREV2 only (spacer givers marginal gains)
Non-revup-either one (spacer or MREV2) without a tune, get both with a tune

Revup, non-revup, all of us are confused, so we just buy both.

Great...just thanks a lot. I came into this topic thinking I knew which was the right combo, and now I leave with the same question as the OP.

yeah... ive been reading these threads too. its clear that the rev-up benefits from the mrev and spacer since thats what 95% of the posts say.

however, for non-revup, some people say mrev2 only, some people say spacer only.

i have non-revup and would like to know. but, we'll probably just see conflicting replies

Here is a dyno with mrev2 only on non-revup. This was done on my car when it was bone stock. Adding a spacer on top of the MREV2 makes little difference. For a dyno of a spacer only on a non-revup, see motordyne's website.

Yes, Tony from Motordyne confirmed this himself... many times.

Not sure what's worse... that this topic has been killed so many times or that people still have misconceptions and are giving bad info.

Hi Guys,

On a NON-REVUP engine you could actually go either way. Both the spacer and MREV2 will give similar (but slightly different) gains. MREV2 makes a slightly higher average and the spacer makes a slightly higher peak. But the differences are small, on the order of 1-2 HP.

Both predominantly increase the top end.

OTOH,
On a REVUP engine, definitly do both the MREV2 and spacer. It will make a big difference.

Hahaha!

You may indeed be right.

I need to get the Motordyne FAQ section of my website set up with this and other questions answered.

Other than this, what have you seen to be the more common questions?

I'll put it all into the FAQ section.

This is the biggest one, people with revup versus non-revup, just want to know what to buy.

Their wallets are all yours Tony, just lead the way.
