Default I NEED a receipt for DC Sport ceramic headers ASAP- PLEASE HELP!

Sup fellas,

Recently bought a set of DC Sport ceramic headers from a member here. Turns out the welds were incomplete and my car is at the shop as I type waiting for some good headers. I PM'd the guy I bought them from to get a receipt. I'm posting this just in case he doesn't have it. Anyone that has a DC Sport CERAMIC headers receipt that can scan it and email it to me, please speak up!! I don't wanna pay $570 to take off my stock exhaust manifolds and put them back on!!! You can PM me for my email. I don't want to post it b/c of spam. PLEASE HELP!! THanks! Thanks!

Honestly - why would anyone potentially give up their right to a warranty for you...it's fraud...that's why nobody is responding.

Now you know why they were for sale, I guess...

1 - the headers were brand new.

2 - they were for sale cuz he went turbo

3 - good way to earn my business....sponsor. If I have to buy another set of headers, I will....but not from you!

4 - we're here to help each other out. If someone bought they're headers 11 months ago....I doubt they'll use the 1 month of warranty left.

P.S. - take that stick out of your a$$.

Sorry man - but your purchasing issue and warranty need has nothing to do with me being a sponsor or you buying our products.

It has to do with you not getting a receipt from the person you bought them from to begin with, and for some reason you expect someone else to cough one up for you? I'm not in the wrong here, so don't blame me for your problem.

Also, a threat and ultimatum of you having to buy another set, and not buying our products as being my fault or my duty to make sure you get warranty????...get a grip and make sure you get everything you need when you buy things from members, and not reputable shops or vendors.

The stick, by the way, isn't in MY A$$...your bad situation shouldn't be taken out on me, or anyone else who isn't willing to support your lack of planning and thoroughness. You got caught trying to save a few bucks instead of buying it form a vendor to begin with. Do it better next time.

Sorry you feel the way you do...but come on...get real about this. I would hold every receipt I had for the entire warranty period - hands down. Even if there were 2 weeks left, I wouldn't give it up because you never know what can or will happen. If your pipes are damaged and brand new, and you haven't installed them yet, then either call the guy you got them from and get your money back or explain to DC Sport that you have a brand new set in the box that are damaged.

Perhaps try to find out where he got them from and when, and maybe they will warranty it out for you. Sorry man, a bad situation, just don't make it worse on yourself and think about you options to resolve it. Also, the DC Sport boxes are date stamped - at least mine was, and you should be able to use that to verify eligibility as well, if that date isn't already past the warranty time.

Now that I have at least tried to give you some help - maybe you can pull that stick out so you can sit down and think about what else to do...

Rick

It's ok - we only sell what we manufacture - we don't' sell anything else...so you can't buy them from us anyways.

Sounds like you need to do better research and stop trying to be so bad a$$. My response did not require you to fly off the handle...sorry if the truth wasn't acceptable to you.

By the way, $570 for the header install is pretty high. When did they notice the headers were bad, before install?

As they say, if you're not a part of the solution, you're a part of the problem. I was asking for help, not critism. No one is trying to be a bada$$ and I had no lack of planning. If you read above you notice I'm using this as a PLAN B. Turns out the guy I bought them from has a receipt. I have already done everything you mentioned (contacted DC Sport/AEM - they wanted pics....SGP already sent them). They notice the defect after they took off the exhaust manifolds, but before they put on the headers. $570 might be high, but they are known for quality work. IMO worth every penny. No one was flying off the handle, I simply made a rebuttle to your critism. Its ok to not buy from you? If I'm spending $1400 (just this time) just in labor to install parts and tune my car with a UTEC, don't you think I'd be a potential customer? Especially with the amount of money I've spent on the car already? Besides, I don't buy new parts on here to cut corners...I get a discount and help out a fellow member....if the situation turns bad, its the risk I take....an "i told you so" just to rub it in my face is definately rude. Now you know why I made the stick comment.

So I guess every single person on the board who has not chimed in is at fault or a bad guy as well???

Next time - you might want to give more detail as to what you have done and not - more details help you not get flamed, and likely will help you get the help you want.

That's cool...I just made an observation that's all. For the extra money though, I would have hoped they would have inspected the parts they were going to install first, before tearing my car apart. I guess those extra pennies might just be spent in this case, and for you, I hope not and you get that receipt. I just don't' get how a new open box wouldn't be warranted to begin with...especially when dealing with a reputable shop? Does the shop sell DC Sport headers? If so, I would think they would have enough relationship to handle this without incident for you, considering the amount of money your spending with them and the potential long term business you could be doing with them as well.

Not correct - your 'rebuttal' was an attack on me, my comment was answering your question as to why nobody was giving your thread the time of day. You didn't like that answer - so you took out your frustration on me.

To answer your 'rebuttal', you said that you would not buy the headers from me..we don't sell them to begin with, which is what I responded to. Don't take it out of context now. Also, of course I see that you could be customer of ours, as you are doing things right on your car. We have great exhaust products you can use, but I'm not marketing them here, that should be respected as well...I'm not here to sell you! Again...I was answering your questions as to why nobody was responding to the thread...nothing more.

That's cool and I respect that. But I didn't rub it in your face, and that's how you see it, sorry for that. Spend more time thinking about your responses and posts instead of just reacting to them. When you ask for help and opinions...expect to get them.

The sad thing is you don't even realize I'm on your side...I've actually given you information and insight to help you out and you still come back at me...

I have not turned any words around...and your digging your hole deeper. I even apologized for the misconception you had of me.

I'm done here...good luck!

That's totally cool and respectable...I hope you know I wasn't blaming you for anything, or him either...just a bad situation overall.

Not a bad situation...Dozzer has gone above and beyond what anyone else would do. I have nothing but respect for him. No need to appologize Dozzer...you're a good guy.

Problem solved.

If your problem has been solved that's great. I'm very glad for you.

Using someone else's receipt for your headers for warranty is fraud. (although if the headers were brand new, DC should clearly repair or replace them even WITHOUT a receipt... that is beside the point)

Old School you let your emotions run a little wild in this thread. I understand you were upset, but you only got mad because someone was telling you what you didn't want to hear.

When I read your initial post I also thought the original seller probably sold the headers because they were defective ...

Since the seller is now helping you out, that's great. Since the problem is resolved, I'm going to ask that this thread be locked.
