Ok so I had Popcharger on for about 3,000 miles or so then I took it off and put my stock airbox back on with a K&N drop in filter. To my surprise, im getting better gas mileage, sure no cool sound, and a little less hp but, it still pulls pretty quick, better than that paper filter from nissan, but is this normal? and if so, does it matter what aftermarket performace intake you get, will it rob you of MPG? Thanks.
I'm at a loss to understand why one would get better gas mileage with the K&N drop-in over the popcharger, especially if one says it is significant enough to actually notice. I would bet $$ it is driving habits and not the filter. Are you sure it's not your right foot that is attracted to the floorboard when the popcharger sings?
