Default Phase One almost done..what do u think?

After a few good months of searching and listening to different setups here is what i decided to go with...

JWT Pop Charger and Nismo Exhaust. i got these installed on Tuesday and I am just amazed at the sound. It definately is a beefier stock sound and at high rpms its just mindblowing. Performance wise I feel a slight difference in power, but nothing earth shattering. My friend and his father installed these at their shop for me and they could not stop complimenting the setup... The father said it was definately a quality exhaust with a unique sound, and even went to say it was beautiful lol. You guys should have seen the smile on the fathers face when he was revving it. I was very happy with the compliments.

Next week MREV2 + 5/16 spacer and UR Pulley....
I couldnt help not jumping on the GB goin on after a recent thread of the results on an 06...and the pulley im looking forward to even better throttle response.

Also had the aluminum pedals installed on my base good for another 10whp
Ill take a rest on engine mods for a bit...I do plan to stay N/A all the way.

Ill post impressions of next weeks installs but dont think ill be able to head out to a dyno anytime soon...

I'm done with phase 1 as well...

remember my thread about "mission statement"

I said I was going to:

1. eliminate the factory restriction in the plenum (done)
2. eliminate the biggest factory restriction, in the exhaust, which is the cats, (done)
3. tune (done)

Now on to phase 2... add exhaust... phase 3, cams? phase 4, vortech?

i know! my brother and sister have the digital camera at college (they go to same school) im gonna get together with Caesar of Lightwerks (he did my blackout headlights) to take sum pix prolly next week. Tonight i went to the movies and parked it right under a street light it looked bad as hell walked up to it as a group of guys were walking past and breaking their necks... haha it felt nice to get in it after that.

Im going to save a tune until i have finished adding HFC's, headers, and Cams. >) then comes utec a nice tune and a little laughing gas for emergencies

actually...
heres the only pix i have for now...

So Wired 24/7, how many ponies did you gain with HFC? Any pre/after charts to show? Thanks

Ok guys.... ur pulley and mrev2 + 5/16" spacer is in....

well i told u my mechanics reaction to the exhaust in my first post....

well he calls me to tell me the car is ready and he gets very serious and tells me "this is no car...this beast needs wings cuz it flies!" (it sounds much funnier in spanish) When i got there he had a smile from ear to ear...he said he took it for a test drive and was amazed...he now loves my car and all 350z's as a result. i then come to find out he used to build race engines in ecuador too.

I then took it for a spin myself....

Holy mother of God. first... throttle response with the pulley is a thousand times better...the engine revs so easily now... and the way it pulls with the mrev now is surreal. Im very very happy.

The engine has a much throatier sound to it now too...and a notice a slight increase in vibration. but nothing major.

one final story... i stopped at quick check to pick up some oj as im pulling out i was a little rev happy and these two kids on bikes heard it cuz they stopped at a corner and started staring waiting for me to drive by i gunned it a little and u could see their expressions OH SH*T!! hahahahaha...

well im taking a break from mods for a lil bit.... but next up HFC's and headers.
i will probably post dyno results next week to see where i stand too.

Hey Wired, Did the HFC's change the sound of the stock exhaust much? were they bolt-on?

Thanks...

The high flows are bolt on. I'm not sure how much it will change the sound on the stock exhaust, but on the Nismo, it gets quite a bit louder.
