Default Horsepower estimation?

I have looked extensively into mods of the F/I variety... So now I've decided to go N2O with N/A mods...
I know what ther nitrous will do with the car, but I'd like an approximation of what the following bolt ons will do...

-Intake Plenum Spacer
-MREV lower plenum replacement
-UTEC management + tune
-Headers
-Resonated Test Pipes
-True Dual Exhaust
-Cams (not sure what brand yet)
-Valve Spring/Shim kit

Also ... I know with said spring/shim kit I should be able to rev to 8k (or close to)... Where's the powerband going to really kick in? 4k? 4.5k?

Thanks

I'll give my guesstimate first. I'm thinking with a good tune you should be able to put down about 270-280'ish + whatever you spray with the N2O

If you get the right cams for the high RPM range, then I wouldn't be surprised to see close to 300whp peak (with some nice tuning)

And what does one consider the "right cams"?

Maybe I should post this in tuning instead?

I'm guessing 280whp....if you're gonna do the cams and valves, then you might as well do the whole head (both of course - PP, guides, retainers, etc). You could port & polish for another $400-500. If you get the heads done, you'll be in the 300 range...give or take 10whp.

It really depends on what dyno you use. If you havent installed these mods yet, I would recommend getting a baseline from your local dyno. Make sure to return to the same dyno for subsequent testing.

The mods you listed, with tuning, typically yield about 30-40whp improvement. That adding nitrous to the mix, will add xx whp.

I would take a look at GT motorsports N/A & S/C cams... they have a grind that is unique to any others.

They're new, so no one has tried them yet. But a lot of R&D seems to have gone into them.
There is a thread about this in the forced induction forum

With the exception of the cams/valvetrain, according to the before/after thread elsewhere in this section, you're looking at a 16 rwhp gain, with tuning.

With a fulle exhaust system(headers, TP, and catback), intake, mrev2, and a tune, you'd only get 16RWHP? Whered you get that number from? The Fast Intentions Intimidator exhaust and test pipes gained 15hp without a tune on a baseline Z.
