Borla has a dual exhaust and a y-pipe exhaust for the Z. That pic doesn't look like either. I don't think that's for a Z.

this guy from cali is selling it and he said its off his z and custom made it with all borla parts...this is what he posted in his ad...:

This is a Custom Borla Exhaust for a Nissan 350Z. I've put about 1,500 miles on it. Exhaust is in great condition. No cracks or dents. The Exhaust also comes with a Mid Pipe. The pipes and mufflers are straight from Borla. No welding needed just straight bolt on. Exhaust cost over $1000. Nice deep throaty sound and major power gain. Need to sell because putting Z back to stock. You won't be disapointed with this exhaust. I got nothing but compliments.

so is he sayin he pieced this system together with borla parts.?

Haha, after a lot of confusion over pipe size I finally got the correct piece of stainless needed and the car goes in thursday to get the cracked h-pipe welded, the resonators removed, and the entire exhaust welded solid. I'll post up some sound clips when it's done.

I have the stillen test pipes and topspeed headers, not sure to what degree that will affect the exhaust note over stock but if you also have test pipes it'll probably be pretty close.

Definitely custom made, looks like a crappy design for flow. That T right before the mufflers is horrible for the flow of exhaust. There's a reason Borla makes 2 well designed systems for the Z that look nothing like that...

Ok, exhaust is all done. Turns out the crack in my H-pipe was so bad that welding it wouldn't have lasted long. Had a whole new piece fabbed up. I basically have a custom built exhaust all the way back to the muffler now. Nice thick 14 gauge stainless steel rather than Borla's crappy 20 gauge. Looking closer at the Borla pieces...it's total junk. The H-pipe was a total piece and I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did. I'll try and get some sound clips up tomorrow if I get time...

The Borla true dual system uses 2 1/4 piping. Their single system uses 2 1/2.

I took a few clips with my digital camera but the audio quality blows hardcore. They just opened up a new VERY long on ramp that goes under an overpass near-by that my car sounds AWESOME accelerating on. I'm gonna get my friend to film a high speed run(I can top out on this ramp...it's that awesome) sometime in the near future here. As soon as I get that I'll post up a link to it in here.

heres a clip of my borla exhaust. I have headers, high flow cats, intake and the exhaust. Sounds better under load and in person, but a decent clip.

that is what he sent me a while ago. so lets just figure it out on what hes got. i see he has some mixed up sized on the pipes, but would these pipes fit wiht each other if theyre 2.5-3.0"s?

and would this exhuast be good to get if ur planning on getting a turbo? idk if 2.5 is big enough? but i do see some 3" parts on the setup
So any new updates (anyone guinea pig it yet?)... any thoughts on this over the reg TD one. BTW thanx joe645733 for posting ill bet this guy has gotten bombarded by emails over his exhaust.

no problem. i forgot about this thread, but that one middle muffler is actually a Turbo XL muffler. costs like, 385 bucks, not too bad.

so...i'm guessing it converts the 2.5" to 3" flat to the heads or somethin. not sure, but im not gonna get this exhaust cuz im planning on getting the SFR TT kit for my car very soon. wouldnt be good on a single catback exhaust. im goin with the HKS.

is what I found on the borla site: http://www.borla.com/products/produc...bo+XL+Mufflers

however I really dont think it is the 3" in with 2.5" out (part 40474) because this one is transverse. I think the 3" to 2.25" might be better since it is center/dual. this one would be part 40670. Any input?

Intake, headers, test pipes, and the Borla was rebuilt from the cats to the muffler with straght 14 gauge stainless. No resonators.
