I never dynoed and I already have the Stillen exhaust installed. I hope to have my AEM CAI this week. I will have it installed ASAP and I could get a dyno done afterwards. However it is an auto and I'm sure most could care less about the dyno on an Automatic.

I should be getting my Z back Thursday and I will have my AEM CAI installed at that time. I will be dynoing soon. I already posted a baseline dyno some time ago.. I'm going back to the same place with my grounding kit and AEM installed... and we'll see what difference that all makes. I'll post it asap.

Wink Impressions Before & after??

vova151
and
ColecatZ

Question:

Could you each give me, your general impression of the 350Z
Before and after adding the Stillen Cat Back exhaust.

I have a bit of of a problem with teh stock exhaust, I use my instruments too often, because I don't get feedback from exhaust.
I also seem to be thinking I am going slower than I actually am.
Or I'm moving faster, than the car seems.

Cheers Amy -

I had a chance to listen to the Cat Back at Stillen two friday's ago. But the car ( SC prototype ) was inside and in a bay...
Sounded mellow.

you are still correct though......$$$$....but it is a real dual and sounds great.

Wesman posted videos and sound clips on there also......look on the first or second page.

Amy,

I have posted sound clips of the exhaust from inside the car, Granted they are poor but thay give you and idea. Do a search for my username and stillen.

I really like it. It's the stock sound magnified. I also feel more power and it seems to get better as I put more miles on the car, over 8000 now.

I agree that it is pricy and may not see all the gains that we hope but now I have a true dual exhaust which will help if I do additional mods in the future and when the chip comes out the current setup that I have should "hopefully" produce the results that stillen promises. I think that the ECU is doing a lot of retarding because it is worried about emissions and thinks it still has the stock exhaust.

My AEM intake should help too.

All,

If you are still looking for it, I am getting an AEM Cold Air Intake and the Stillen exhaust put on my Z tomorrow morning. I am trying to get the company to do a dyno before they put this on (just to get the before), but not sure if they will have time. I don't think that they will have time to do the post dyno tomorrow...should get to that early next week and I will post the results.

Is there any talk as to when a new ECU will come out? Who would release it? and how much it might run?

Thanks!

Mark

It's still a true dual exhaust. By having a X pipe, it helps by pulling the exhaust out faster than if it was just by itself. I forgot what the term was called, but this way, you have more even exhaust coming out and some other stuff like that.

I understand scavenging, but by definition if the exhaust meets, it's not a true dual.
