Default Spacer Installed, Testpipes going on Today

Ok so yesterday i installed my motordyne plenum spacer. I reset the ECU because i had heard it takes alittle time for the ECU to sorta "notice" and adjust to the new mod. I can really feel the power. Just wow. Before the install, i could floor it, and my car would feel like it got a breath of life around 3500-4500 RPMs and it would start to pull harder, now that range starts more around 4000rpm and is about 3x stronger. Also, around 5k-5.5K Rpm, the car feels like it i just got rear ended and launched forward. Its amazing.

*Mods where Injen Cold air (converted to ram air) and a Topspeed PRO-1 Exhaust*

The install was not "hard" per-se. I did it with a friend, and good thing. There was alot of times when i needed someone to hold something. One thing, there are alot of things you need to disconnect that it doesnt really tell you in the instructions. The whole thing took about 2 hours, but we werent really trying to rush it. We took our time and did it very carefully. We may have taken a few breaks as well lol.

Today i will be installing some Kinetix Testpipes. I have heard test pipes are a PITA to install. Some bolts you have to get to by going through the engine with like a 2' extension lol. If anyone has some tips on installing testpipes, i would greatly appriciate it lol. Also, i have the non-fouler fix thing, do i just stick the o2 sensors in the spot or what? Is there anything i need to use to kind of hold them in place?

Didn't have to use the non-foulers on my '04 - gutted hi-flo cat pipes on now for 2k miles & no CEL. Best of luck!

Actually, I went from below the car on a lift when I gutted my hi-flo cats. The 2 hardest bolts are the top ones on each side that attach the pipes to the exhaust header - the rest are relatively easy to get to. On the 2 upper ones, I used various extensions & a swivel-head socket. Took about 2 hours to remove the cats to gut them & re-install. You should be able to do it just fine.....

hey how did this test pipe install go? Are you happy with the test pipes and the spacer??? now you need a UTEC, a Tune and to dyno the thing! Go to Performance Factory for the best treatment!

Is this the guy that bought that stuff of you Prascill?

Use some WD40 on the bolts, let it sit for a few mintues before trying to crank on them again. If that doesnt work, go up to the local autoparts store and buy some sort of thread lubricant. They have stuff made for sticky/rusted bolts. If that doesnt work, just buy new bolts and cut the ones on there off (thats what i did on a couple stuborn bolts) Good luck!
