Default jwt pop charger installed

Man I love the way my car sounds now with this installed.

Only took about an hour, very simple install to do as long as you have the tools. I spent most of the time trying to figure out how the heat shield mounts. I ended up not drilling into the snorkel since it seems kind of pointless. Just as an extra precaution I looped a zip tie through one of the holes.

Engine growl sounds deeper and you can hear it at low rpm even in 6th gear.

RPMS seem to spike slightly quicker or maybe its me pressing harder on the gas so I can hear the sweet growl of the engine.

This is my first mod and I am happy with the results.

is there a reason why the rubber molding that mounts on the top portion of the heat shield is supposed to flare out towards the engine...? Originally I had this padding the inside of the heat shield between the air filter but then I saw pics of it on the internet flaring out so I adjusted it.

You get the same sound by removing the power duct from the stock airbox...

Are you not suggesting test pipes cause you're in Californistan? I figured the two best mods were intake and test pipes.

What is this, all I want is the sound and not lose much performance.

I loved mine when it was my only mod. Now it adds to the bunch that i have. I never regretted this mod unlike one of mine (pit ss just because i need something different). The JWT popcharger's whistle is the best!!!

Default Just installed

My pop charger arrived today and even though it was lightly raining I could not wait. I have to say it is quite brutal looking and the hissing sound is very rewarding. Total time to install was less than 30 minutes. It took longer to shave my rear wiper! I avoided using the 2 screws into the snorkel. Does not seem to matter though with the tight fit. I might use a zip tie at some point but for now it seems solid.

ya I just wanted to be safe in case somehow the shield got loose on the rail. I'd rather have a little zip tie then a heat shield bouncing around in the engine compartment.

The Pop Charger is a ricer mod, which is why I took mine out.

Then put it back on

The PC with stock exhaust sounds better than when I had only my Nismo cat back with the stock filter. In other words the PC'r made a bigger noise diff than the exhaust did by itself.

edit:

That still doesn't make sense. I'm too lazy to reword it.

The intake setup is different on the 07. You'd have make quite a few modifications to make them fit. The 07 has the MAF integrated into the air box. Also, the piping on the intakes is much smaller.

Did anyone of you use the Popcharger and a ceramic intake tube or any aftermarket tube? Will it work better?

Ceramic tube?

You can use other pipes, but there is not going to be a performance gain.
