Default headers instal

hi guys i bought some used headers that did not come with gaskets or bolts
when i asked the guy about that , i was told just to use my oem ones they are the best anywya.
so should i replace my headers and bolts? or should i reuse the ones on my car?
and if i do replace should i just buy oem ones from the dealership?

Just use the nuts on the stock headers. Studs might come out of the head as mine did but it will still be able to be TQ down.

Your call, I have reused the OEMs on a dozen installs with no probs to date. Torque sequence and torque steps are of the utmost importance

Yes, and always best on hot stuff to use a dab of anti-sieze compound

I had headers installed and you can use your OEM bolts and OEM gaskets. Just remember to torque the nuts/bolts down good and use anti-sieze compound as stated by Eazzzzzzy.

Do a first rate job and buy new gaskets. You need 4:

2 for the motor.
2 for the catalytic converters.

I used the old OE gaskest for my headers and TP's...no problems. You might need to buy new nuts for clearance issues...the OE nuts have a larger flange on them and the welds for some aftermarket headers won't allow clearance.

It was definitely a lot easier with newer nuts. We just finished installing them yesterday.

I bought new gaskets too although I probably could have used the old ones. Rather be safe than sorry...

The OEM nuts will be fine--If u insist , go to Nissan and order a new set ---Either way there should be no clearence issues as there are with American cars
