any of the major brands are good. I have a nismo and I am satisfied. I have a aam spacer and that is a great company. I have a tanabe exhaust great quality. bought some megan racing stuff absolute junk. If price is a concern watch the classifieds and ebay. basically 2.5" inlets and 3" outlets stainless 304 construction. you could gamble on one of the cheaper nismo copys but its like gambling you could win and get a good one or lose and get a bad one. But spend some extra money or buy used and get one of the more consistent quality brand names.

I have AAM's Y-pipe. It works well - good welds, flex joints are good, fitment is good...good company, good products

the concern i have is the different shapes these brands carry
it almost seems like the jic and aam are more for the turbo cars
with the straight design where the fuji may be more for the NA
cars with the bends to keep backpressure and torque up-just
my thoughts=they all seem like an improvement over stock
with the weight loss and larger diameter piping

go to ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Heade...6492QQtcZphoto)
for $60 shipped, try it for a while and toss it of you don't like it. I put one on, fit was fine, welds look good. It may not come with bolts and gaskets, so call em up and get $10 buck back. Prolly as good as anything else out there. I mean for 60 USD, WTF?!

i am really not worried about price as much as i am about
function/design/efficiency etc.. i try to put a lot of thought
into each step of the upgrade i do in each of my vehicles
not always worried about cheapest price-but if it works
out that way thats fine by me

i like the JIC y pipe. I'm rocking a ebay y pipe since i got it to 60 as well. I originally just wanted to try it out for the price but i haven't got around to picking up a replacement.

If that's the only mod you are going to do, why bother? Test pipes would definately be a better investment of your time and $$.

If you plan on modding more later look into what kind of an exhaust you might want, that way you can plan your mods accordingly, and better yet if you decide that maybe FI or anything else is in your future, then get the exhaust that will suit your needs as well......

.....as for the y-pipe alone, if you are going to keep your stock muffler, it won't matter much what type you get, in fact if you change everything else on back after the y it probably won't even change much either, besides the sound of course.
