** Please check local laws regarding catalytic converters. These pipes have passed visuals and sniffer tests in CA (the strictest state on emissions) but they do not have a CARB number associated with them. **
NOTE: Replacing the OEM cats with test pipes, aftermarket high flow cats, or modifications of any kind to the OEM cats is ILLEGAL!
2 notes that I found using the link above. I believe that even if you damage your cats, in California, you must replace them with exactly the same cats. Many Z owners here have modified with test pipes or high flow cats, and I do not think that this is a "fix it" ticket any more.

OK - so here's the real skinny all -
In Cali - you need OBDII certified cats - and the only ones available are your OEM CATS.
CARB numbers are great for Cali - for things like headers, but not for CATS.
Keep in mind - you may pass a sniff test or visual, if the tech doesn't look at them at all.
That's the fact jack!

I passed with Random Tech hi-flow cats. There are certain restrictions to changing your cats in ca but its safer and better for environment if you have cats as apposed to straight pipes. No check engine light either.
