Default Homemade ram air

I remember seeing a while ago how someone made a ram air for either their stock air box or a pop charger, can someone either tell me how to make one, show me one, link me to one, or anything. Just no search, cus ive done that for 15+ minutes.

You're probably thinking about the Varis air duct? I'm sure some of the sponsors are selling it, or a copy atleast.

Been looking for something to connect the varis intake duct to the stock airbox inlet so it's direct fresh air from outside rather than under the car to rad.

Dryer hose works eh? lol

I promise you it won't be good for more than 2-3 hp. Plus you can't test it on a dyno, because the car must be moving forward for it to work.

You should go for it, but try not to make it too ugly.

I would recommend you take a look at the K&N Typhoon, it has a ram air scoop thingie that feeds into the airbox.

I'll post pics of my Gruppe-m intake when I install it. It comes with a cf ram air inlet.

just cut out a hole and stick a piece of plastic gutter material in there and duct tape it up

I don't think its worth the effort or money... I was going to make a custom one similar to K&N, but didn't bother after taking a good look at the intake area, its sufficient IMO. I just removed my inlet (opening it up a little more), and made a custom shroud around my Fujita F5 intake. Seals it off just like OEM. You should have a friend rev your motor while placing your hand over the inlet, its like a DYSON vacuum cleaner! Good luck raming more air into it... maybe if it were a VEYRON topped out, LOL!

Im thinking varis cf duct and a dryer hose, or something better looking connecting from that too the front of the jwt pop charger, and have it just hitting the velocity stack. Something quick to undue for rain use. If it drops drag times/ or any acceleration, it will be worth it, the varis looks good, and 2 hp is half of what A pop charger adds for close to nothing.

The only bad part about those varis/titek and other ducts by the headlight is the opening size. It isn't big enough to gather up enough forced air. A bigger ram air opening would utilize the most area. I'll do a complete install with pics of my gruppe-m when I get it this week.

Ok thanks, that intake looks sick. If it actually has some nice dyno games, aIll be all over it. Didnt you just add something like the varis to your v2? Looking sick by the way!!
