Default 5/16 Spacer

How hard is it to install the 5/16 spacer in an 06.

I tried the search button, but "I" could not find a difinitive answer, nor could I get one from the motordine vendor. I'm thinking of buying one, and want to know if it takes more than a shady tree mechanic ability to install one. If done by a shop, about how much would it cost. All flames graciously accepted.

Thanks,
Joe B.

I don't think the '06 is much different from and '05 (since the MREV2 will fit either engine). It's easy, and the instructions that Motordyne includes with their spacer guide you through all the steps.

it took me about an hour to do mine, 1 1/2 if you count the cigarette brake test drive then re-torque of the bolts.

The install is straight forward. Members tend to get crazy with wenches, and break bolts.

how much does the 5/16 spacer alone (without mrev2) help with revup engines?

Thanks; Now I feel a lot better about ordering the spacer. With the popcharger and spacer installed, what would be the next most sensible up-grade? Flame away.

It's not that hard, there's lots of info if you search for it. Just make sure you don't break any bolts.

Go with some resonated test pipes or some high flow cats.
You could go with headers, but that install is harder and more time consuming than a spacer install.
