Default New tranny, exhaust sounds more clean and different

I had to have my tranny replaced, now my exhaust sounds a lot cleaner and different. Its not just me, its almost everyone that has ridden in my car thus far. I have removed the resonator and have flowmaster muffler. Does any have any idea why this happened, or am I just crazy???

Three options:

1) The sound you heard with a broken transmission were not exhaust sounds as you thought they were. They were a bad transmission.

2) The bad tranny was causing your engine to run funny or something causing your exhaust note to sound altered.

3) You are just crazy.

Take your pick.
