lol, well i think nismo has some good parts and some bad ones as well. just like hks.the nismo wheels are great in my opinion but the nismo exaust is nice but seems cheaply made in my opinion. I would have to say that i do think the hks is better quality then the nismo, but not at all worth the money and sounds and looks like crap.I am actually very open minded.

Okay. For about the fiftieth time, I just read that the Nismo "looks too much like the stock" exhaust. I don't think it looks remotely like stock. Stock has the tips as does the HKS, but the Nismo is all one piece, with a totally different shape. Please fill me in, as I must be blind.

How do the HKS tips look like stock??? The HKS are single wall with blue burtn tip and are @4inches in diameter. The stock is like 3" and double wall....and the Nismo is like 4" double wall....hmmmm i think people will automatically say the Nismo has more a of a similiarity to stock. Would post pics but to lazy.

On another note...i don't like HKS and in person it sounds....hmm....like it wants to imitate a Porsche sounding note...but does a poor job at it.

For anyone one that is looking into buying the HKS exhaust...i highly recommend that you hear it in person....its a completely different exhaust....IMO sounds bad.

You are definitely blind I think you need some very strong prescription reading glasses. The HKS tips look NOTHING like stock. The whole reason I bought the exhaust is because it looks nothing like stock.

 

I think that you missed the point of my post. How does the nismo look like stock?

As for what you are saying about the HKS..yes it has pretty blue tips and a much larger opening than stock......but it looks more like (resembles) the stock design than the nismo to me. My opinion.

 

I like my Borla w/ AAM Test pipes, but that's just me. Never hit me how "ricy" (for lack of a better term - I could use honda-ish, etc.) some of these exhausts sound when you go with something subdued like the Borla, Nismo, or a few others. Although I do agree I wish they appeared a little more agressive. I feel like more of a "sleeper" or less of a "tuner" with this Borla on. This is coming from someone who did have the Fujitsubo Y-Pipe to a Tanabe Racing Medallion for a year plus (until just last week). Man, this Borla is music to my ears. Maybe i'm just getting old and sick of the loud/raspiness...

As for the HKS, I've heard it, and I didn't think it was THAT bad. I've heard worse, but heard better as well... For the price, I'd find a substitute and save some cash.

The HKS is a true dual....nothing similar to stock...the Nismo is the stock design but with a tad bigger diameter piping...dual wall tips that are a little bit bigger than stock...and a big shiny box that replaces the stock black one. You can't be serious that HKS looks closer to stock than the Nismo

yeah, I think the Nismo exhaust is as close to the stock look as posible. if you sprayed the muffler flat black it would be hard for the average Joe to distinguish it from a stock exhaust
