Which Test Pipes with Borla TD?
Hi guys!!!
I`m interested in getting some Test Pipes for my 03 TRack Edition, I already have a Borla True Dual exhaust system with headears and was wondering which Test Pipes will be the best for the exhaust i have right now,and also not very expensive ones. Some time ago I removed my cats and put some home made straight pipes with the holes for the o2 sensors but that time i had lost of hp in the high end and my gas consumption went up, so the dyno guy told me to put my cats again and problem solved, my question is what`s the difference between those home made pipes and the Test pipes that will prevent them to cause the same problem I had before? :help:

I`ve heard some good things about the V2 Helix Test Pipes, do I have to reset my Ecu after putting the test pipes????, how about gasoline consumption???, does the mpg goes down?
Test pipes are just hollow pipes with o2 bungs. Resonated test pipes have resonators to help reduce rasp.
If you get a pair of non resonated test pipes it will sound the same as your home made pipes.
In terms of power gain you should gain hp in the upper rpms but I've read that you may lose some low end torque. Either way with the mods you already have you should get a reflash or a tune after your done modding. That should help the gas mileage. Also the car should run smoother and stronger throughout the rpm range.
