I've been looking for just the box with no luck. So I just ordered the whole Stillen intake from Intense. I think I'll use the Stillen airbox with the pop charger filter inside.

Stillen does not sell just the airbox by itself, you have to purchase the whole thing, as you've already done.

honestly, I do not feel that there is any actual REAL difference running the K/N (stillen) filter vs the JWT... It's nice if you already have the JWT that you can keep yours as a spare/backup filter which makes cleaning so much easier

i find spending 200 bucks just so that i can use a 10 dollar piece of plastic..... not cost effective.

Hmm...I have an AEM and have made it in to a short ram and am now back to long tube. While it was a short ram though it was getting hot air blown directly on to it by the radiator fans so I switched back....but after reading this it makes me want to go back to short ram and maybe make a heat shield. I recently replaced the filter with a K/N and its a much better design...almost like the JWT. I have a stock 05 airbox but am afraid to go and start hacking away at it just in case I want to go back to complete stock.

There is tons of good info in this thread and I htink Im going to try and make my own heat shield...It may turn out like crap but Im not too worried about looks more than I am getting the hot air off the filter.

Mine just came in the mail earlier this week. I'll be following your lead on "The Filter Experiment." I'll be using the carbon fiber intake tube too, just for kicks.

Does anyone know if the z-tube that stillen sells fits a Z? the plastic on mine is all messed up and i need to replace. My other option is to ceramic coat it to help with cooling the tube (if this would even work). also, i just emailed stillen to see if they would sell only the box, so i will let people know what they say. They may have a mass influx of orders soon if they do.

I bought my Stillen intake during a sale and got it directly from Stillen for $159. Not too shabby, especially considering it was in my hands like 2 days later.

If this Pop Charger/Stillen hybrid comes to fruition, when it is time to clean my Stillen filter, I'll just replace it with the one from JWT (if it really fits) and see if I hear/feel any difference.
