Default MREV2 and factory strut bar help

Installed MREV2 last weekend and get a terrible rumbling when engine gets up to temp and I give it throttle. Called Tony, at Motordyne, and he suggested that upper plenum was coming into contact with strut bar. He suggested to loosen it, so that it raises slightly above strut bar.

I turned adjusting nut 1 full turn from factory specs. My question is, how loose (how far backwards) can I turn the adjusting nut and still be OK?

Turn the nut a couple of times until you get 1/8 inch between the upper plenum and strut brace. It will be fine.

I've read about spacer when the spacer is installed, but not when just a lower plenum is onstalled. I wonder what happened to raise the height of the plenum so that it contacts my strut bar?

My bad. I assumed that you installed a spacer.

In this case, you don't loosen or tighten it, you increase the strut bar tension to increase the clearance between the bar and plenum.

While standing in front of the car, put a wrench on the tensioner bolt and pull the wrench toward you. This will increase the tension and the strut bar will move upward and away from the plenum.
