Default Thinking of replacing Nismo with Greddy Evo2

Currently have Nismo catback installed with resonated tp's...love the sound. Now, Im not sure about what the perfomance gains are with this exhaust but would there be a significant difference between the Nismo and the Greddy Evo2?? I know the Evo2 is a true dual. As far as tone goes, how much different would it be from my current setup?? Ive searched for some anwers but havent found much. Found one sound clip, but its mainly high rpm's. Not too worried about rasp but still wondering if there might be more rasp with the Greddy. Right now with resonated tp and my Nismo, I still get some rasp but its not a big deal.

The evo2's will be a bit quieter but make sure if you have tp's to make a custom x-pipe or h-pipe with the evo2's or else you'll have a very weird sound.

If I was in your situation I would go with a single just because I love to lighten things up but the evo2 is a great TD.

Alright, thanks for the advise. I did read about people using custom X pipes on this exhaust. If its going to be quieter, then I'll just keep my Nismo. Its actually pretty loud w/ tp's and I'd like to keep it that way. I was just wondering if there were any significant performance advantages over the Nismo. Thanks dude.

BTW, when are we heading out to the track again?? LACR really sucks though. Maybe California Speedway?? I think they have a 1/4 mile track there. Im installing my new TP's tonight, so hopefully by tomorrow I'll be set for a meet, if there is one. WHich I think there is....

I'm heading out to LACR next wednesday to setup my suspension setup and try launching on the drag radials. We are also going to fontana on the 30th, you should go with us.

A true dual on an NA isn't usually the best way to go. The Nismo is a great exhaust IMO. I hate the Greddy's just because they are a pain to install and uninstall.

Interesting. Ok, well its looks like I'll be holding on to my Nismo. I wasnt to big on the dual canisters, just performance gains if any. Ok well that was all I needed guys. Thanks alot, I really appreciate the help.

^^hey man i have a question for you. Did you listen to the sound of the Nismo before you put in the test pipes? How did it sound? I've read that it sound just like the stock, except with a little more growl. Then ive been hearing from one of the users here (Track) that the Nismo is about 4 times louder than stock. I just wanted to know from what you may have heard before you put in test pipes. Thanks

The Nismo is definitely louder when used with TP or HFC.

Actually it really has no effect on exhaust sound since it is not related to the exhaust.

I have an APS 2.5" TD exhaust for sale if you're interested. Sounds great on NA or FI. Performs well too on they dyno.

Yeah I heard the Nismo before the TP's went in. It was definitely louder than stock. Under normal acceleration it just sounded deeper but not too loud, then under WOT or heavier acceleration it was ALOT louder and deeper than stock. Now with TP's its just crazy. Sounds like a track car or some sort of exotic on the fwy. VERY loud!
