Default Got my Strup Headers Today *pics right out of box*

Well, my Strup headers arrived today. I know when I was choosing headers I found quite a few pictures of the collectors for different headers but I remember Strup's pictures being pretty crappy. So, without further ado here are 3 clear pictures of what Strup headers come with and look like.

How much did you pay for them?

I think I paid like 420 for mine.

I paid 460 shipped. I know I could have gotten them a little cheaper somewhere, but I got anxious.

ugh, my topspeeds looked much much cleaner. with that said, not sure how much this impacts performance. walkert bought my topspeeds and had it dyno'd. the gain in the mid range was wicked but he didnt gain anything top end.

I had heard that topspeed started deburring the welds on the inside of the collectors, regardless its going to have very minimal impact. This is much smoother than the OEM collectors, though. I have seen various opinions on headers. Honestly, the overall consensus is that they aren't worth the money, but if you want to squeeze every possible ounce of power out of your car NA you might as well get them. I was about 3 seconds away from pulling the trigger on a set of crawfords but I guess I snapped out of it and realized the huge price difference. I know crawfords make the most power, but these will do just fine.

PS: I've done my research I am not expecting much.

i think you will be pleasantly surprised. walkert gained if i remember right around 15whp from about 3000 to 5000 rpm with the top speed, and this is without a tune. i think that is significant. im contemplating going with headers since ive read that they are really good for vortech'd cars.

There is no doubt you will see big gains with the proper headers on your S/c setup. Just be careful because it has potential to drastically throw your tune off.

they will get crapped a bit with corrosion within the first 1-2 uses anyway... I wouldn't worry about that little bit of corrosion inside

Yea I wasn't posting the pictures because I was worried about a little rust I just wanted to make sure the strup headers were properly represented. The last pic I saw of the collectors showed very botched up welds inside.

there's a reason we have a marketplace section and forum vendors... use them if you are looking for parts.

Dude, I know your a moderator, But it seems that everytime someone posts in a section your responsible for, and the post is not to your approval becuase they are either new or dont have a 309,908,723 post count, you make a smart *** comment.

I am going to appologize for that guy,

Sorry, we all arent moderators on forums, we dont know about every section and every search outcome.

Please relax from now on.
Thank you

i`m really really disappointed about my DC Headers dunno if Strup is the same, but the pipes are toooooo small compared to JDM headers, really guys !! the JDM headers has much better collectors/bigger pipes, the RHD can be fitted with a minor work on the Driver side.

I don't give a **** whether someone is new or has 10k posts. If you can't or won't read the sticky that says "Read before posting" then you will get a smart-*** comment attached to your post. (Conveniently located at the top of the forum)

Follow the rules and make good posts - get respect

Make noob posts and ignore stickys/FAQ/search function - get no respect

P.S. If you think I'm harsh or a smart *** you have obviously very little experience on internet forums in general. My350z's policies are super lenient. I don't generally care if people think I'm an ***, because I do this for the good of the forum, not to spoon feed people

Not the best pic, but my inner welds on the collector were pretty even.
