Default Thinking of tossing nismo cai

I am thinking of getting rid of my nismo cai... (i will sell pretty cheap once i get my new set up in there if its worth it) and replacing it with a ARC suction pipe / jwt pop charger set up... only problem is i need to know any additional hose connectors/sizes mods i need to get this setup to work... maybe it might not be worth the $ to some of you but i'd sure like to have it any input would be appreciated.... even the negative aspects....

yea the ARC suction pipe is $285 itself... add the pop charger and its around $400... i've installed numerous intake systems so i can do it myself but THIS set-up is what would make me happy i will post pics when i do it... i gotta get my bodykit shipped and painted first

What is so bad about the NISMO CAI that is on there? I thought that would be better than the stock air box that normally comes with it.

It's harder to suck air through a long tube than a short one. Your engine intakes air through suction. Game over for long tube CAI

They may work on some engines but they don't work on the VQ.

that is so true... i got bored today and decided to turn my long-tube into a short-ram... and noticed a big difference in the throttle response and overal feel at wot... i honestly think i was losing hp for the past year ... oh yeah on the way home from the test drive... some teenage girl was on her cellphone in a brand new honda pilot .... she was coming out of a neighborhood turning left out of the turning lane... there was a minivan in plain sight passing by her and the water-brain side swiped the van.... lmao i looked at her face when i drove by and held my hand up to my ear like i was on the phone and she flicked me off : stupid c*nt but yea long pipe intakes.... suck... metaphorically speaking....

Does no one in here like the K&N 63 series? I bought it a while back and the build quality of it is phenominal, huge heat shield too. I'm surprised we don't hear more about it.

Might want to think about heat soak with metal suction pipe. It might look nice, but the heat thats being generated under the hood of a VQ can affect the air temp.
