Default Cracked APS Test Pipe

I've had the test pipes for over 5 months and until now its when I started to notice more humming coming from down below and hearing a bit of an exhaust leak. I didnt think much of it until I had a couple of people listen to it as well. Well today I went down to check on it and it cracked on the weld, right on the flange. Its a pretty bad crack and what pisses me off more is that I dont have my stock cats to replace them.

Anyone have bad experiences with APS' test pipes? Any alternate route I should take? Maybe another brand or some hi-flow cats?

I don't know if there are any test pipes that are 100 percent reliable, but 5 months is terrible. Maybe APS will give you a free set.

Nismo exhaust + any testpipe = prone to cracking (based on all the threads I've seen on the subject).

Don't know why the Nismo is so tough on TP...

Wow heres a wonderful update! I finally re welded the crack on the test pipe and actually put it back with no prob and sounded great... until a couple of blocks at a split second the piping just after the y-pipe cracked open. Looks like someoone hacked straight across.

I dont know how this happened but my exhaust just cracked on me... =(

+1 I had no idea why this happens cuz the Nismo has 2 small flex pipes in the y-pipe but i tdoes. My GF has been through 2 test-pipe sets in 2 months...one cracked after 1 week with the Nismo and I made it a point to tighten everything down lined up very well with minimal stress on anything.

Wow heres an wonderful update... after fixing my test pipes( re-welded them) and putting them back on, I drove the car around and everything seemed fine until the welds on my nismo exhaust CRACKED! Yup thats right the welds cracked right on the piece just after the Y-pipe. Wow what a freaking coincidence it cracks just after i fix the cracks on my test pipes... wtf is that. Talk about random.

I thought NISMO was nice quality until I saw that. I have pics of it and hopefully ill upload them soon.

It looked like someone hack sawed the weld right off...
