Default Exhaust help please - sound under load vs. no-load, B&B

I have had a B&B exhaust on my G35 coupe for about 2 months now. Its a little loud but sounds pretty good with a nice throaty note to it. However, when the car is revved at idle it sounds terrible. There is no smoothness at all. It is hard to describe but it is really cackling and blaring.

Is this normal? Is it because the pre-muffler/resonator was removed - straight pipe back to the dual tipped muffler? Is this just part of a performance exhaust system and if not what can I do to fix it? Any thoughts would be much appreciated, especially if you have a B&B on your Z.

Removing the resonator makes a raspy sound when you rev it at idle. Since your resonator is removed, it is probably amplified even more by the B&B. It may be advantagious to go by a muffler shop and have your resonator put back on then try it. You may fix your problem pretty cheap that way.
