Default 2006 G35 coupe 6mt, which are the best headers?

My motor is being replaced by the dealer for oil consumption issues. Since they have the motor out I would like to purchase headers and have them installed at the same time to save on installation cost. Which are my best option for headers.

Crawfords are probably #1 in that category, but at the same time, you could get the Strups, Motordyne Upper & Lower Plenum/Spacer, HFC's or TP's, or maybe something else for just the price of the Crawfords.

I think Crawford's make the most power, that's why I got them.

You can al so get them straight from Crawford with the Jet-Hot 1300 degree coating... Do it!

best - crawford
mid end - strup
low end - topspeed.

top speeds are probably the best for the money. saw a nice 15whp gain in the mid end on a before and after dyno from a walkert's previous 04. i was pretty impressed. he bought them from me for $150 and he did a self install.

i would go top speed or crawford depending on the budget.

Agree on the Crawfords. But the design of the Nismo header is sound, they are not like the DcSport copies (anything other then Stillen and Xerd/Supersprint)

Nismo headers do make power.

conditions were just about identical to last dyno, but did not have the fan blowing on this run, probably woulda helped too..

anyways, once i get it my scanner i will post...but here are the #'s:
my base was 237.7hp and 230.9tq

run 3 was 249.2hp and 246.7tq

run 4 was negated cuz it was a mistake of 4th gear..(didnt print it out, but it was 248.6hp and 243.4tq)

run 5 was 249.3 and 249.4 tq

to me, made a nice difference, those are just peak #'s though...@4k rpm torque shot from 216 to ~241.
headers= for me

btw..i am running nismo headers without any other mods...

why do people say headers arent worth the money. 15 whp is one of the best gains you will get na grant it they are a ***** to install, but i think itwould be worth it im ordering some soon.

I've used em all at this point...Crawfords are the best out there of the mass produced ones

The NISMO are actually quite a good design

Why do people say it? Simple....the good headers are close to, if not over $1000. Install is a pain on all of them, and time consuming. But if the motor is coming out anyway and they are willing to do it, go for it
