Just change the plugs.
Sounds like some sort of snake medicine bs. Never even heard of such a thing before. Guessing it's made by the same guys that produce turbonators and fuel line magnets.

crappy shields that go aroudn a spark plug that prevents oil from getting onto the plus. this also decreases performance. why would your CEL light go off for anyway? with test pipes you are looking for o2 simulators for the o2 sensors. do a search on those instead.

He's talking about the spark plug defoulers you put on the test pipes so you won't get an check engine light with aftermarket test pipes.

You can get spark plug defoulers/nonfoulers at any autoparts stores such as autozone, advance auto parts, pep boys, etc.

You will need 4 in total which would cost around 10-15 dollars for all. Then you will need to get a drill and a 1/2 dill bit to drill out 2 of them on the top part so the o2 sensor can go through.

Doing this will not give you a CEL since it moves the o2 sensor farther back and not sniff the bad stuff that causes a check engine light.

I have done this on my car it works great. No check engine lights so far. You have to get certain size that fits the Z. I forgot what size but if you take a look at your test pipes then go look for the non foulers, you can tell right away which one to get. Hope this helps.

if you want, for 25 bucks, i will buy you it and then drill them out and ship them for you to make things easier The hardest part was actually drilling the holes since you will need to buy the drill bit plus a bigger than normal drill bit gun to fit that bit.

They are 18mm x 1mm thread count. They will be the only "18mm" sized ones there.

You can also pick up a O2 removal tool from Advanced Auto. Just be careful, it's a POS. I removed my drivers side and then went to remove the passenger side, it snapped in half. Keep a pair of safety glasses on just in case.

Yeah,it was really easy. I know which tool you are talking about. It breaks easy because the socket thing is cut in half making the whole thing weaker. No need for it though. Those are more for really high mileage cars that won't budge.

The run of the mill defoulers you buy are rust traps. They are made for older cars that burn oil and chances are the rest of the car is rusted away anyway. There are a few vendors out there that sell CEL eliminators made from stainless and look pretty sharp. I have been thinking about giving the electronic gizmos a try but nobody makes one with the specific connectors that we need.
