just spend the extra $ and get crawford headers than u wont need to worry about quality but i beleive those arent 2 bad ive heard people getting good gains from the ts headers and they only paid like 250 for em but quality wise not 2 sure

I have the Megan headers and never had any problems with them. As for their test pipes I hear that they suck.

The only headers that make real power are the Crawfords.

please take this post into consideration before taking the above quote to the bank.

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....light=crawford

Headers are a very wishy washy subject when it comes to the Z. There is 1 proven fact out of all the opinions and statements on which headers are better and which are worse. Headers on the 350z produce little to no gains up top, with very minimal mid range hp gains. Proven fact, i dont care if it's megan, crawford, borla, strup, 8 times out of 10 you will regret spending the money you spent to buy the headers and have them installed. 5hp to the wheels is hardly noticeable after a week, and you'll be making payments on the $1000 cost/install prices for a couple months. Shoot for durability, type of metal used, and also credibility.

Stay away from Megan, they have more "my headers cracked" posts then they do "my megan headers rock"

I have Borla headers, which has a reputation bashed image for not producing hp up top. understandable, because i didn't gain any either. I wouldn't say i lost any, but the best they did were improve my power curve slightly from 3800-5400. thats it, but figure this, my headers haven't cracked after 50k miles of us, and i doubt they ever will. That should have as much weight to yoru decision as how much power you will gain. because once you put the headers on yourself, or pay someone $300-$400 to put them on, you will realize you definatly DO NOT want to do that again.

Sorry for the long rant, but headers are headers it seems on the Z, buy for quality most of all. (crawford is still a kick *** brand, quality, performance, reputation, cant go wrong except they cost an arm and a leg)

Deleted. I just noticed that you already have headers and test pipes.

I haven't had any problems with my Strup headers. They also gave me the biggest power increase. I did a before and after dyno that proved it. If you search you will find the thread.

Since I've added the headers I've installed a 5/16th spacer and Borla TD exhaust but they only gained a few more horses. I am getting the Osiris next to help get the most out of my current breathing mods. I may get a set of high flow cats down the road but for now I plan on getting the Osiris next.

To get full advantage with headers, or any breathing mod you need to reflash your ECU.

+1

I added headers & HFC's at the same time and my car was running really lean. The UTEC tune really brought out the power from the other 2 mods.

to get the real benefits from headers, it takes cams, and all the good stuff involved with those

NA tuning a Z is not a zero sum game...it's a culmination of many things, not just slapping a and b parts together.

the Crawfords do though provide the most consistent gains

as for the subject car of that post.headers and cats don't peacefully co-exist, plus we have no idea how well tuned it all is - the tuning makes or breaks the parts

I believe some peeps have posted no gains with the crawford headers. The engine has to be pulled to install them. I passed on those.

the engine does not need to be pulled - it simply needs to be lifted off the mounts slightly
