this thread is a dead end.......
you'd hope there would be extensive test results and info for such a high caliber item?

Tony, You haven't had a good thing to say about these in any of your posts, why not? You work for Infinity so you should know about them first hand. If not , just look at the video on post 244. The bodies that Nissan is using on the Nismo 380RS-Competition are made by Jenvey for Nissan. What more testing do you need? RJN ran the carbon fiber version of these on some of the cars they race for Nissan over in Europe as well. If they are good enough for the company that designed the engine don't you think they would be good enough for you? The problem here is I own a 280ZX not a 350Z. I need a car here in south Florida to get you some dyno figures for you guys, but nobody wants to be the first one unless everything is free, and that will not happen. I believe the bodies, an airbox, labor, and dyno pulls before and after, for $2700.00, (which is the racer cost of a 10 set group buy without airboxes) is a fair deal for the first person that steps up to try these, I mean FREE airbox, FREE labor ,FREE dyno pulls and the bodies practically at my cost. I understand that people are always scared of a new thing but these have been proven to work by Nissan themselves.I pushed my friend Mack to get these released to the public as they where only for race teams to begin with.I thought that the 350Z owners would embrace something that actually worked, I guess it was my mistake. Neil,

No offense, but you have yet to show finalized pictures of the complete kit (Horns, throttle bodies, air box, throttle cable, accelerator pedal setup , etc.). At the very least you might want to show pictures of what they look like installed on one of the race cars that are running this kit. To ask someone to pony up $2700 for a kit that they don't know will make 5whp or 40whp without allowing them to even see pictures of what they are spending their money on is a very very tall order. I understand dynos may not be possible as race teams are not going to give their numbers up but you should at least be able to provide some pictures of the complete entire kit. Otherwise, it will seem to the general public that you would like to have someone else spend the cash to do the R & D on this kit. I'm not writing this post as a call out, but just a way for you to see it from another perspective.

Honda people spend $2k+ on ITB setups alone manufactured by Jenvey and TWM. Why would you think there is no market for these for the 350z crowd?

This is where a potential market and something good moneywise for manufacturers falls flat on its *** IMO. Because companies are afraid to introduce a new product into the market. Don't depend on people to come up and pay for something that has not been introduced and marketed to customers. With all due respect the only mistake you made Neil was to post this thread and come up with no end product.

I'm not doubting or hating on the product. ITB's in general and Jenvey both have established reputations and virtues.

However, this thread is lacking the substance that we usually see and expect in new product threads (ie. Photos of the finished product, installed pics, links to the company website with further info, before & after dyno comparisons, etc.).

Perhaps this thread was started prematurely.

Any way, if Nismo 380RS uses this kit, that means that the kit is allready developed, isn't it?
