Default Fujita Intake Downside

Are there any? I am not very mechanically inclined. I am sick of waiting for K & N to bring something to the table, and have been hearing good things about the Fujita. I am looking to get this as I intend to eventually get a FI exhaust, and from what my friends have been telling me is to always work from the engine back when doing so (exhaust). Plus I think the sound is just mean. Do they have to be cleaned often, and is there problems with moisture and or heat soak?

Thanks in advance!

heat soak is only an issue if you are idling after running the engine a while

They don't increase your power unless you have your car tuned (there are currently no tuning products for the 07 350Z). As a metter of fact a reported 3 HP loss was attributable to their installation. Some of us who have purchased the fujitas have removed them until a tune is finally offered for the 07.

The "reported" 3hp loss was due to the fact he swapped intakes and didn't do an ecu reset before doing the dyno pull (a must).

On another note... I stuck my fujitas back on after running the stockers and I noticed nothing different other than how much sexier the car sounds. Don't feel any real gains or losses *shrug*

That may well be, but observations of the A/F ratio being all over the place with anything other than stock setup has to be costing us some performance (until a tune is available anyway).

It does sound exotic... But with the metallic CATs, it's a little loud for my taste. However, this is not my daily driver, so that makes it a little more palatable. I am getting more and more used to it as I drive it though.

VitViper can give you his opinion of how it sounds with stock CATs and with Test pipes....
